Bebe Links with Aldo for Footwear Deal
Bebe has just launched into an exciting new venture with Aldo, signing a deal to design, manufacture and distribute a new collection of shoes.
According to WWD, the forthcoming lineup will be priced around $130 per pair and include sandals , flats, boots, and closed-toe silhouettes. The collection will follow Bebe’s playful, sexy and sophisticated aesthetic.
Bebe’s head honocho Steve Birkhold said he chose Aldo because of their “undisputed reputation and global track records.” The brand has been looking to advance its footware options to the next level, and Aldo seemed to be the perfect fit.
"The team at the Aldo Group understands the Bebe woman and has proven its ability to produce trend-right shoes of the highest quality and value to meet our customers' increasing style demands," he added.
Aldo GM Nicholas Matire also voiced his support for the new venture saying, "Aldo Product Services is very excited to became the exclusive and global licensee for Bebe footwear. We believe strongly in the revitalized direction of the brand.”
The new line will launch for Spring 2013 exclusively in Bebe stores, with plans for wholesale distribution in select departments stores this fall.
